Summer School

Young Artists Summer Sessions ages 10-16

Landscape

Wednesday 6th August 10-3pm

A day dedicated to exploring the landscape which begins with drawings made in the beautiful surroundings of our studio in Ilkley.

We will then return to the studio to develop these drawings, using a range of different painting mediums and techniques, whilst working towards to final pieces

Draw, Collage and Paint

Tuesday 12th August 10-3pm

A mixed media day which allows Young Artists the opportunity to explore many different processes and techniques related to Drawing, Print and Collage. We will create our own handmade sketch books and begin to develop them into a visual diary of the day, recording different techniques and responses

Family Creative day

Friday 15th August 10-3pm

A day designed for families to create together as we guide you through a series of fun exercises exploring drawing, paint, print and collage.

We will offer the opportunity for you to work alongside other members of your family creating your own piece of work or make something together. We will offer the opportunity to bring our work together and create a larger single piece

We are offering this session this at the same cost as our usual young artists rate, which is £45 per person. We ask that each adult booking is accompanied by a maximum of two young artists. Please get in touch if you require clarification. Thanks.

Sculpture

Friday 22nd August

A day spent working with a range of different materials to create our own 3D sculptures.

We will begin by looking at different artists and make drawings of our own ideas. We then go onto exploring different techniques for turning our drawings into standing sculptures. Maybe creating a new world in the studio space.

We will provide a range of materials and enable students combine them, finding solutions and problem solving whilst working with 3D pieces.
